MOUNTAIN LINE SEEK BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVE FOR TRANSIT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
FLAGSTAFF, AZ (September 19, 2022)-Business or Economic Development Representative
to the Mountain Line Transit Advisory Committee (TAC)
Northern Arizona Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority (NAIPTA, doing business as Mountain Line) is seeking a business or economic development member to serve on its Transit Advisory Committee (TAC). The TAC is charged with acting as a community stakeholder, evaluating transit proposals, and reviewing items before they go to the Board of Directors for official consideration by providing input to the Mountain Line CEO and General Manager.
The term is three years, and the time commitment is a few hours a month with regular TAC meetings being held on the first Thursday of most months, 10am-12pm. Meetings typically occur at Mountain Line Headquarters, 3773 North Kaspar Drive (along Route 2), and a virtual attendance option is also available. There is a Board and TAC Strategic Policy Advance in October and a joint meeting with the Board in mid-May; these joint meetings are usually in person only. There will not be TAC meetings in the months of joint meetings. Typically, there are recesses in July and December. Also, the Mountain Line CEO and General Manager may try to meet with individual members on a quarterly basis for about an hour, if necessary. TAC members are offered an annual Mountain Line bus pass.
Mountain Line partners include the City of Flagstaff, Coconino County, Northern Arizona University and Coconino Community College.
Transit knowledge is preferred, but not required.
Term would begin 1/18/2023. First TAC Meeting would be February 2, 2023.
