MOUNTAIN LINE STOP CLOSURES AND TEMP STOPS FOR CEDAR ROAD STRIPING

FLAGSTAFF, AZ (May 26, 2026) –

The City of Flagstaff will close Cedar Avenue to all traffic, from West Street to the Fourth/Lockett roundabout, from Friday, May 29, through Sunday, May 31, to allow crews to safely perform final roadway striping. This closure will impact Mountain Line Routes 2 and 7 and the following stop closures and temporary stops will be in place:

Route 2

  • Stop 8 (Cedar/West) closed – a temp stop is available just south on West St., on the west side of the road.
  • Stop 9 (Cedar/Aris) closed – a temp stop is available to the south, on the south side of Dortha Av., just west of Rose St.
  • A stop 9A will be added on the south side of the Coconino Community College parking lot (buses will detour through the parking lot)
  • Stop 10 (Lockett/King) closed – a temp stop is available to the east on Lockett Rd., east of King St.
  • Stop 21 (Lockett/King) closed – a temp stop is available to the east on Lockett Rd., east of King St.
  • A stop 21A will be added on the north side of the Coconino Community College parking lot (buses will detour through the parking lot)
  • Stop 22 (Cedar/Fourth) closed – a temp stop is available to the south, on the north side of Dortha Av., just east of Rose St.
  • Stop 23 (Cedar West) closed – a temp stop is available just south on West St., on the east side of the road.

Route 7

  • Stop 14 (Cedar/ West) closed – a temp stop is available to the south, on the south side of Dortha Av., just west of Rose St.
  • Stop 15 (Cedar/Aris) closed – a temp stop is available to the south, on the south side of Dortha Av., just west of Rose St.
  • Stop 16 (Fourth/Cedar) closed – a temp stop is available to the south, on the south side of Dortha Av., just west of Fourth St.
